Homemade Condensed Milk | How to make Condensed Milk

 
 
Do you also have a sweet tooth like me?? Always running to buy a can of condensed milk to make sweet/dessert??? I tried making it at home this time. Believe me making Sweetened Condensed Milk at home is as easy as 'abc'. Now no need to spend lot of money for buying cans. Make it at home, store in refrigerator and use it when a recipe calls for condensed milk. Check out the recipe here to know how to make sweeten condensed milk at home.



Preparation & Cooking Time : Under 15 mins

Yield : approx. 2 tin

Ingredients:

Boiling water - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
Margarine - 1/4 cup
Milk Powder - 4 cups
 
 

Method:

  1. Add Boiling water in blender.
  2. Add sugar and margarine in blender along with water.
  3. Turn on the blender and churn for few seconds until mixture combines well.
  4. Add milk powder one cup at a time and blend it again. Repeat the process for 4 cups of milk power.
  5. Condensed milk is ready once all the ingredients are incorporated well and mixture becomes smooth.
  6. Store in air tight container and keep it in refrigerator for a day to thicken the consistency before using.
  7. It can be stored in refrigerator for several weeks. Use it as required.

Note:

Alternatively you can also make condensed milk using full fat milk instead milk powder. But it is a lengthy process as milk should be boiled and reduced for a long time.
