Dosa Sandwich - Easy Snacks Recipe | Ezcookbook


Dosa Sandwich, a very refreshing and quick to make snack. Every time to make snacks for weekend is a taunting task for me. Especially my Hus who is  keen about health says no to deep fried, heavy snacks. So this weekend I had an obsession in my kitchen to do something new but lite and healthy food.

I had some dosa batter but not sufficient to make snack for all of us. So got an idea to make sandwich. Usually we all use to make sandwich with bread, but dosa sandwich sounds new and quick for me. However, I found a quick way to welcome the unexpected guest and hopefully they keep remembering me for my innovation. Even good to pack for kids snack box.

All you need to make this sandwich  is dosa, green chutney, onion, tomato and cucumber slices. Try it, you will love it.


Preparation & Cooking Time : under 15 minutes

YIELD : 5 sandwich

Ingredients:

Dosa Batter - 150 ml
Green Chutney - 1 recipe, as required
Tomato Ketchup , as required
Onion - 1 large
Tomato - 1 large
Cucumber - 1 medium

Method:

  1. First ,heat dosa pan or any flat griddle, drizzle oil and pour a tbsp of batter and circle it to get a mini dosa/pancake.
  2. Slice the onion, tomato, cucumber to 1/2 inch thickness and keep aside.
How to Assemble the Sandwich:
  1. Take two mini dosa, apply the green chutney on top of one dosa.
  2. Place onion, tomato, cucumber slices on top and spread a spoon of tomato ketchup. Place the other dosa over it and complete your sandwich.
  3. Relish it.

Note:

  • Assemble the sandwich as per your choice of veggie and sauce.
  • You can add some veggie pattie to make more delicious and filling snack.
  • For more spice, sprinkle some ground pepper on top of the vegetable slices.
