Low Fat Healthy Chivda | Guilt Free Indian Cocktail Mixture

Chivda/ Mixture is a famous Indian Snack. It is basically made with 5 or more variety of snacks and tossed together to get the mixture. In short one can call it as Indian Cocktail Mixture. I used peanuts, cornflakes, channa dal, puffed rice, sev / omapodi, poha. You can plus minus ingredients according to your taste and availability.

I still remember those nostalgic childhood memories of munching this fried chivda while playing cards, carom boards games with friends. Mom used to make a paper cone to serve the chivda in it. We all love to have it in cone.

But today we are talking much about healthy foods and trying to implement it. We all are very conscious about calories intake, so what I did is - I baked every ingredients used to make chivda instead of deep frying. Munch it while watching tv or playing with your kids without any guilt.

Note:

To save Time You I use all my appliances altogether. chana dal and peanuts are in ovan, puffed rice and rice flakes in kadai and if using corn poha prepare it in microwave.
Mean while chana dal is baking  dry roast Poha in kadai.
Meanwhile peanuts are done in oven  roast puffed Rice.

You can avoid or lessen the quantity of Sev as this is the only item used here is ready made and not healthy. I added just to enhance more taste as my family is a big fan of Haldiram Bhujia.
To add more flavors and taste turn this chivda into popular Bhelpuri simply adding finely chopped onion, tomato and 1 tbsp of date-tamarind chutney.
