Panner Capsicum in Corn Gravy, as its name says, is a delicious and thick curry dish made with paneer and capsicum dipped into rich and different sweet corn based gravy/sauce. My son inspired me to make this new invention just to hide corn kernels as he doesn't like to eat it. Panner Capsicum in Corn Gravy

Preparation & Cooking Time:

YIELD : 3 persons

Ingredients:


Paneer - 1 cup
Capsicum(Green and Red) - 2 medium size (1 Red and 1 Green)
Onion - 1 medium chopped
Oil - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Hing a pinch
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chili Powder - 1 tsp
salt as per taste
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Kasuri methi - 1 tsp

For Gravy:

Sweet Corn kernels - 1 cup
Onion - 1 medium size roughly chopped
Tomato - 1 medium size roughly chopped

Method:

  1. Soak the paneer in hot water for 10 minutes. If using frozen panner cook in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  2. Grind all the ingredients of gravy and make a coarse paste. 
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and hing.
  4. Add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste. saute well.
  5. Add above capsicum and above prepared gravy.
  6. Add all the spices i.e. turmieric powder, chili powder, salt, garam masala and kasturi methi.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes or untill gravy start to leave the oil.
  8. Just before serving add paneer in hot gravy.
  9. Serve hot with your choice of Paratha Or Roti.
