Mushroom Bechamel Sauce Toast

Toast with mushroom serves as an extremely excellent filling healthy recipe. This is been seasoned with Bechamel Sauce(White Sauce) -a mother sauce from french cuisine.This sauce is widely used for many Italian cuisines. Try this delicious mild preparation with bread, wrap and roti as this goes well with all. This can be made in a jiffy for morning breakfast. Pack with lunch box for kids delight.


Mushroom  Bechamel Sauce Toast

 

YIELD – 4servings

Ingredients:

Bread- 8 slices
Swiss White Button Mushroom-1punnet
Onion-1 large
Frozen Green Peas-1/4 cup(thaw /defrost it)
White Sauce-1/4 - 1/2 cup(Click Here for Recipe Preparation)
Butter-2tbsp
Grated Cheese-1/4 cup
Salt To Taste
Pepper Powder-2tsp

Method:

  1. Wash and parboil mushroom, slice finely. Finely chop onion accordingly.
  2. Heat butter in a pan,add onion, green peas, stir for few minutes.
  3. Add mushrooms, white sauce and mix well.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.  Spread the mixture on bread and place another bread on top. Serve with tomato ketchup.
  5. Serve with grated cheese when serving for kids.

Note:

If you wish add capsicum, spring onion and carrots.
