Methi Besan is
a traditional
Gujarati recipe. A dry vegetable prepared using a combination of
fenugreek leaves and Bengal gram flour tossed with spices.Very easy and
quick to make as well as super healthy subji. Here is a recipe to
prepare Methi besan.
Besan - 1/2 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
hing a pinch
Green Chili - 1 big size finely chopped
Ginger - 1/2 tsp grated
Garlic - 1 tbsp finely chopped
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Salt as per taste
Turmieric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp

YIELD –2 persons
Ingredients:
Methi / Fenugrek Leaves - 1 cup finely choppedBesan - 1/2 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
hing a pinch
Green Chili - 1 big size finely chopped
Ginger - 1/2 tsp grated
Garlic - 1 tbsp finely chopped
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Salt as per taste
Turmieric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp

Method:
- Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and hing.
- Add garlic, ginger, green chili and tomato. Saute for 1 - 2 mins.
- Wash chopped methi leaves thoroughly and add it to the pan.
- Add all the spices i.e salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder. mix well and cook for 2-3 mins.
- Add 1 cup of water in it and bring it to boil.
- Now add besan and mix well. Cook until subji is dry.
- Methi besan Subji is ready to serve. Serve Hot.
Note:
Make this subji before serving as it is tasty only if served hot . Once it will cool down it will be extra dry and will not be tasty.Related Posts:
