Kara Pori / Garam pori

Lets look out for an easy to make snacks with puffed rice. This will be a perfect snack for a rainy day. The smell while cooking will invite your family members to the kitchen. When I was a kid I ask my mom to make this snack often. Make this kara pori or garam pori to enjoy your snacks on a holiday evening for a movie.

Kara Pori / Masala Pori
 

YIELD – 3 SERVINGS

Ingredients:

Puffed Rice - 5 cups
Garlic - 5 cloves (Do not peel it preferably)
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp.
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.
Salt - as per taste
Oil - 1 tsp.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add the curry leaves and garlic pods and saute.
  3. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and saute for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the puffed rice and saute until all the spice powders are well mixed with the puffed rice.
  5. Put off the stove and serve hot. Isn't it so easy to make.
