Papad Samosa

Papad Samosa

YIELD – 10 Samosa

Ingredients:

Less pepper Papad-5no
Oil for deep fry
Water

For filling:
Onion- 2 medium cut diagonally
Besan/Chickpea flour- 2tbsp
Red Chilli Powder-1/2 tsp 
Amchur Powder-1/2 tsp
Salt To Taste

                                   Papad Samosa

Method:

  1. Heat a tbsp of oil in a fry pan, add cumin,onion and saute well.
  2. Add salt, amchur powder, besan and saute well.
  3. Transfer to the plate and set aside to cool.
  4. Now split the papads into two halfs.
  5. Take water in a flat plate and dip each papad in it , drain out and pat dry with hands.
  6. Make a cone of each papad and stuff a tbsp of the prepared filling and seel the edges with the help of water (or with thin maida paste).
Papad Samosa

  1. Heat sufficient oil for deep frying and fry the papad samosa both sides till golden brown .
  2. Fry on slow flame as this will turn brownish color very faster since it is papad.
  3. Repeat in batches to fry the remaining samosa.
  4. Serve hot immediately with main course or as snacks with Tea to enjoy the crispy taste of samosa.


Papad Samosa

Note:

Replace the filling as per your taste and even you can use some dry curries which you prepared for lunch.
Try to finish it immediatedly once prepared and do not keep it for long time as papad or appalam will leave its crispiness.
Try making same dish with an Indian Appalam too.
