Tomato Chutney

Tomato chutney is an accompaniments for idlis, dosas, pooris, chappathis, Upmas, Khichdis and almost anything. This can also be used in the making of sandwiches and stuffing. Tomatoes are excellent source of anti oxidants and dietary fiber.Make this tomato chutney easily.

Tomato Chutney

YIELD – 3 SERVINGS

Ingredients:

Tomato - 4
Shallots -8
Green Chilli - 1 or 2
Coconut - 1 tbsp. (optional)
Salt - as per taste
Oil - 2 tbsp.
Mustard seeds, Urid Dhal, Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Heat Oil in a pan and season it.
  2. Add onions and saute well.
  3. Add tomatoes, chillies, salt and saute until everything is cooked well.
  4. Let it cool. Once cool grind it in a blender with coconut.
  5. Once again heat oil in a pan and season it. Add the ground chutney to it and saute i.
  6. Serve with idli, dosa or anything.
