Maida Pakoda - Easy Snack Recipe

Do you want to prepare a  snack in a jiffy to serve your family while watching a movie? Make this maida pakoda easily under 30 minutes. It can be served along with cuppa for guests too. A tasty snack to relish almost at any time. 



Preparation & Cooking Time: Under 30minutes

Yield: 5 cups

Ingredients:

Maida - 2 cups
Onion - 1/2,finely chopped(optional)
Green Chilli - 2, minced
Butter - 1 tsp.
Salt - as per taste
Oil - to deep fry

Method:

  1. Combine maida, butter, salt, chopped onions and  green chillies in a bowl.
  2. Add water to knead a stiff dough. Knead the dough well.
  3. Roll out to flat, thin chappati. Cut out to diamond shaped pieces.
  4. Heat oil in a wok. Fry the cut out diamond pieces in batches until golden brown. Do not crowd the wok since all pieces will not be fried completely and will stick to each other.
  5. Fry batch by batch to get crispy and will stay good for a week.
  6. Serve with Hot cuppa.

Note:

Cover the dough with a wet kitchen towel, to keep getting dry.
Fry the pakoda in batches to avoid uneven cooking.
