Mushroom Baby Corn Briyani

The yummy combination of mushroom and baby corn is cooked with basmathi rice and spices to make a Tasty briyani. Make this briyani and serve with raitha of your choice.


Mushroom Baby Corn Briyani


YIELD – 3 SERVINGS

Ingredients:

Basmathi Rice - 1 cup
Mushroom - 100 grams
Baby Corn - 100 grams
Onion - 1
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp.
Curd - 1 tbsp.
Green chilli - 2 (Slit it)
Oil - 2 tbsp.
Ghee - 2 tbsp.
Garam masala - 1 1/2 tsp.
Salt - as required
Water - 1/2 cup for the veggies and 1 and a 1/2 cup for the rice.
Whole Garam masala:
Cinnamon - 1" stick
Cloves - 2
Cardamom- 2
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Star Anise - 2 petals

Method:

  1. Soak Basmathi rice for half an hour and drain it.
  2. In a pressure cooker heat oil and ghee.
  3. Add whole garam masal and fry them.
  4. Add onions, green chillies and Ginger garlic paste and saute well until raw smell disappears.
  5. Add cut mushrooms and babycorns. Add curd, garam masala and salt for the veggies.
  6. Saute well untill babycorn and mushrooms are cooked well.
  7. Add water and salt. let it boil. Add rice and close the pan. Cook until the rice is cooked well.
  8. Serve hot with raita of your choice.
