Corn on Toast


Corn on toast is a mouth-watering Italian dish. Spread a layer of corn sauce over the toast to prepare this. And here goes the recipe.

Corn On Toast


Yield: 4 serving 
Ingredients :
Corn – 10 tbspn
Butter – 2 tbspn
Onion – 1 big
Garlic – 4 cloves
Chilli – 2
Coriander leaves – 2 tbspn
Tomato sauce - 4 tbspn
White sauce – 2 tbspn
Salt – as required
Kasoori methi – 2 tspn
Bread – 10 slices

Method :
  1. Chop onion, garlic, chilli and coriander leaves finely.
  2. Boil corn without salt until its well cooked
  3. Heat butter in a wok.
  4. Add onion, garlic and chilli. Cook until raw smell disappears.
  5. Add coriander leaves, corn and tomato sauce. Cook until raw smell of tomato disappears
  6. Add white sauce and stir well.
  7. Add salt.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves and kasoori methi. The sauce is ready.
  9. Trim the edges of bread. Slice it diagonally and toast it both sides on a griddle.
  10. Now top the breads with the sauce and enjoy your corn on toast.

Tip:
U can also top the bread with cheese and apply a layer of sauce and heat it in an oven to make a toast pizza so that kids will love it. For the white sauce recipe click here.
